Lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto , Music composed by Eiichi Ohtaki Produced by Eiichi Ohtaki illustration : Hisao Kwada direction : Nobutaka Yoda (English translation of the rough meaning of the Japanese lyrics) You are on a south-facing balcony, gazing sleepily at the sea, bronzed by the sun. The soft curls of your bangs cover your melancholy eyes. The breeze seems to carry the scent of peppermint. A glass of blue soda water swaying under your fingertips. I chose the chair diagonally across from you because you look so good from this angle. Shells sparkle in the water, silent in the depths Yes, I haven't told you the important thing yet I can hear the whistle of a cruise ship in the distance It invites me to travel, but I will not move from here the wind seems to carry the scent of peppermint instead of sweet the days of my life with you seem to burst from this glass of soda I whistle in harmony to your humming of an old song The overlapping sounds of the two of us melting into one and fading away The waves on the seashore are like sand that gently rolls in and out of time I wish we could have loved each other like that forever I wish our hearts were as clear and transparent as clean water When I try to hug you, you run away from my hands while making excuses like “the sun burns too much, it hurts too much”. The wind seems to carry the scent of peppermint instead of sweet A glass of blue soda water is swaying at your fingertips The glass of soda water and the blue sea are moving away from me leaving only the memory of your bashful smile.

You are on a south-facing balcony, gazing sleepily at the sea, bronzed by the sun.
The soft curls of your bangs cover your melancholy eyes.
The breeze seems to carry the scent of peppermint.
A glass of blue soda water swaying under your fingertips.
I chose the chair diagonally across from you because you look so good from this angle.
Shells sparkle in the water, silent in the depths
Yes, I haven't told you the important thing yet
I can hear the whistle of a cruise ship in the distance
It invites me to travel, but I will not move from here
the wind seems to carry the scent of peppermint instead of sweet
the days of my life with you seem to burst from this glass of soda
I whistle in harmony to your humming of an old song
The overlapping sounds of the two of us melting into one and fading away
The waves on the seashore are like sand that gently rolls in and out of time
I wish we could have loved each other like that forever
I wish our hearts were as clear and transparent as clean water
When I try to hug you, you run away from my hands
while making excuses like “the sun burns too much, it hurts too much”.
The wind seems to carry the scent of peppermint instead of sweet

The glass of soda water and the blue sea are moving away from me
leaving only the memory of your bashful smile.
